TOURISTS ATTRACTIONS
Mussoorie tourism has a lot to offer, and if you’re into picnicking and soaking in nature, you are going to really enjoy yourself.
One local attraction is the Gun Hill, which is one of the highest points in the city. The view of the Himalayas is breath taking, and a perfect spot to get a bird’s eye view of Mussoorie’s vibrancy.
Another picnic spot worth a mention is the Ven Chetna Kendra, which is a park covered by thick Deodar forests. It’s pretty famous for different species of rare animals.
Or, you can picnic at the Municipal Gardens, which has lush greenery and gardens with an artificial lake. There are boating facilities available at the lake.
The Mussoorie Lake is another attraction worth mentioning, where you can enjoy a number of different activities.
A favourite attraction for the tourists is the home of Sir George Everest, after whom the highest mountain peak in the world was named. He was the first surveyor general of India. The Park Estate shows his residence and office.
The majestic Kempty Falls is renowned for its beauty and is a very popular attraction in the region. The Tibetan Temple, located in the happy valley of Mussoorie, is another local attraction.
